Lifeline crisis chat is a national chat network that can provide online emotional support, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention services. Chat specialists are there to listen and support you through whatever difficult times you may be facing.

The crisis text line is a free, 24/7 support for people in crisis. Their website also explains what a crisis is and  has several activities you can do right on their site to help you cope and stay calm.

Every day, approximately 105 americans die by suicide.

There is one death by suicide in the US every 12 minutes.

Depression affects 20-25% of Americans ages 18+ in a given year.

The highest suicide rates in the us are among whites, american indians and alaska natives.

There is one suicide for every estimated 25 suicide attempts.

Depression is the leading cause of disability worldwide.

Suicide among males is 4x's higher than females.

An estimated quarter million people each year become suicide survivors.

80%-90% of people that seek treatment for depression are treated successfully using therapy and/or medication.
